Katie's music is a vivid blend of bluegrass, folk, gospel and old-time country music. Her unique style and sound have been shaped by her love of American traditional sounds, and her music reflects a deep appreciation for the stories and lives behind the music.

With her roots in bluegrass and folk music, Katie brings a fresh perspective to these classic genres, infusing them with her own unique style and creativity. Her music is characterized by heartfelt lyrics and a soulful sound.
Katie's musical journey began in childhood, and over the years, she has become an accomplished musician, both vocally and instrumentally. After performing in the San Francisco Bay Area, she found her footing in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts, where she continued to hone her craft.
Playing claw-hammer banjo and guitar, Katie's original music had a broad appeal, from young alt-bluegrass and folk music lovers to older audiences who grew up listening to classic artists like Patsy Cline, the Louvin Brothers, Johnny Cash, and Hank Williams. She previously led her own band, Katie Clarke and the Green River Band, and later joined the female three-part harmony-vocal supergroup, th Boxcar Lilies.
With the Boxcar Lilies, Katie traveled extensively, sharing their spine-tingling harmonies and songwriting skills with audiences all over the eastern seaboard. They shared the stage with a diverse range of acts, from folkies like Bill Staines to international bluegrass stars, the Seldom Scene. Their second and third albums, Sugar Shack (2013) and Knockout Rose (2015), were Americana radio favorites and received numerous accolades.
In 2016, Katie left the Boxcar Lilies to pursue new musical adventures closer to home. As luck would have it, she met multi-instrumentalist Larry LeBlanc, and their musical chemistry was instant. Together, they perform a mix of Katie's original songs and covers of bluegrass, folk, country, gospel, and old-time music at venues all around the Northeast. Larry's instrumental work and vocals complement Katie's style perfectly, and their performances are a true treasure for audiences of all ages.
